A private family interment will precede. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Mike was born in Chickasha on Sept. 24, 1957, to Glenn and Naomi (Hixon) Stinson and died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

Mike graduated from Dover High School in 1975.

On March 24, 1990, Mike married Cindy Michelle Helgeson in Kingfisher. They recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

He went to ministry school in Edmond and started his construction business.

He became a licensed minister. He served in many areas with different churches as a pastor, associate pastor, youth pastor and a children’s pastor, but his heart was always in world missions.

Mike was able to go to countless places including Africa, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Cambodia, Thailand, Czech Republic and France to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

He enjoyed the construction business, but also enjoyed farming with his parents. Over his life, he was involved in FFA in school and owning his own farm later on.

He attended and graduated OSU Master Cattleman Program.

His farming and cattle interests involved him serving on the board with Oklahoma Grazing Land Coalition and Oklahoma Farmers and Ranchers Association.

He was a member of the East Dover Livestock Association and loved the members as family.

He is survived by his wife Cindy (Helgeson) of the home; mother-in-law Maxine Helgeson of Hennessey; two sisters, Brenda Bryan and husband Robert of Hennessey and Rebecca Stinson Curtis of Edmond; one nephew, John McFarland and wife Olivia; three nieces, Shellee Methe and husband Jeff, Jennifer Porter and husband Kyle and Lindsey Bryan; great-nieces, Lauren Schwarz and husband Tyler, Hannah and Sadie Porter, two great nephews, Jude and Jack Porter; great-great-nephew Hunter Schwarz and great-great-niece Ava Schwarz; aunt Mary Eaton and husband Ken; and uncle Leon Goodwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt Donna Goodwin, uncle Sonny Hixon and great-niece Kate Porter.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saving Grace Ministries with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.

Today though he has gone Home to be with Jesus, Mike would ask you to make certain that you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.

“If you confess with your mouth thatJesus is Lord and believe in g our heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” - Romans 10: 9-10
