It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Bussard, 72.

She passed away of complications from COPD and congestive heart failure on June 11, 2020, just seven days shy of her 73rd birthday.

Known to her friends and family as Patsy, she was everyone’s favorite Aunt Patsy. She spent 11-hour days six days a week at her liquor store where she had made many friends and connections over the course of the last 38 years since opening in 1982.

She worked up until just a few days before she went into the hospital.

Patricia Ann Bratcher was born to Reuben and Lorene Bratcher on June 18, 1947, in Dover.

Patsy had five brothers and sisters, Shirley, Wanda, Ronnie, Linda, and Jerry; one half-brother, Kenneth; and one half-sister, Pauline.

Patsy married Bobby Lee Bussard on Aug. 15, 1968. They went on to have two children, Bobbi Jane Bussard and Melissa Ann Albers (Bussard).

Patsy is survived by her daughter Melissa Albers and her husband Lawrence “Skip” Albers of Oklahoma City; brother Ronnie Bratcher and companion Sue of Dover; sister Linda Creekmore and husband Hugh “Chipper” Creekmore of Oklahoma City; brother Jerry and Rose Bratcher of Kingfisher; and half-brother Kenneth Bratcher and wife Onedra of Fresno, Calif. Patsy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad; husband Bob; daughter Bobbi Jane; two sisters, Wanda and Shirley; and her half-sister Pauline. She was also preceded by several nephews and nieces.

Services were Tuesday, June 16, at First Baptist Church in Kingfisher. Burial followed at Kingfisher Cemetery.
