Sonya Elaine Graham Reagan, 80, of Okarche died peacefully Monday at her residence surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Kingfisher.

She was born Aug. 16, 1938, at Walters to Seburn E. and Lela Mims Graham, the second of four children in the family.

The family later moved to Altus where she attended Altus schools, taking active part in speech and plays.

She married Gary Reid on Oct. 18, 1953, in Pauls Valley. After Gary’s graduation from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, they returned to Pauls Valley where they were involved in the publication of the Pauls Valley Daily Democrat and she was active in social and service organizations.

They were the parents of three children, Cheryl Lin, who was born at Stillwater, Michael Dennis, who was born at Altus, and Barry Kirk, who was born at Pauls Valley.

In1963,thefamilymoved to Wewoka where they were active in the publication of the Wewoka Daily Times.

In 1969, they purchased the Hollis News and were active in that community until purchasing the Kingfisher Times and Free Press Dec. 1, 1979.

She married Bob Reagan Oct. 24, 1998, and they lived in Altus until 2017 when they moved to Okarche.

Survivors include her husband Bob of the home; one daughter, Cheryl Collier and her husband Gerald of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Michael Reid and wife Donna of rural Okarche, and Barry Reid and wife Mary of Kingfisher; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Bishop and husband Barrett Bishop of Fairfax Station, Va.; Crystal Garrison of Amarillo, Texas; Nathan Poindexter of Deer Creek; Michael Dane Reid of rural Okarche; Sean Wesley Reid, M.D., of Oklahoma City and Gary Shane Reid of Okarche; Conner Reid, of Annapolis, Md., Ben Reid of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., and Ross Reid of Kingfisher; eight great-grandchildren, Bailey, Graham and Wyatt Bishop, all of Fairfax Station, Va.; Reid, Presley and Nicholai Garrison of Guymon; Daxton Reid of rural Okarche; Isaac Altman of Oklahoma City, Colt Poindexter and Zaylen Anselmi of Deer Creek; one sister, Sally Taylor, one sister-in-law, Rae Graham, both of Altus; stepdaughter Lynn Whitehead; stepson Bobby Lee Reagan Jr. and wife Susan; eight step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rev. Max Graham of Altus and Rev. Ron Graham of Rhome, Texas., stepdaughters Lea Schure and Melvina Miller, and several aunts and uncles including a special aunt, Ruth Spratt of Duncan.
