Vergie Irene Barnett was born March 6, 1929, and died Sept. 29, 2020, at the age of 91.

Graveside services were held Oct. 9 at Oakland-Knowles Cemetery in Crescent and officiated by Rev. Mike Channel.

Pallbearers were Wilbur Endecott, Tommy Graham, T.J. Graham, Justin Endecott, Mike Barnett, Mike Barnett Jr., Aaron Owen and Tim Owen.

Vergie lived most her life in Crescent.

She worked as a waitress at the City Cafe until purchasing it. She later sold the cafe to her granddaughter, Phyllis Graham and husband Tommy.

Her hobbies included making crafts, crocheting and making quilts. She loved to dance and watch Thunder basketball.

Vergie was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Opal Brock; brothers Glen and Kenny Brock; brothers-in-law Gene Crook and Darryl Stuckwish; and one great-grandson, Jon Burpo.

She is survived by four daughters, T.J. Jenkins of St. Cloud, Fla., Patricia Wagner (Kenneth) of Watonga, Kathy Terry of Crescent and Sue Murray (Paul) of Crescent; sisters Rosie Rogers (Roy) of Durant, Wanda Crook of Velma, Clydean Williams (Cecil) of Crescent, Bonnie Stuckwish of Piedmont and Donna Huge (John) of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all.
