With great sadness we announce the passing of Vivian Kelly Vincent, our loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman and she touched all those who knew her.

On Dec. 4, 2019 she went to be with her heavenly Father while surrounded by her loving family.

Vivian was born on a farm northeast of Dover to John and Hazel Larsen on Sept. 15, 1920. She married C.J. “Chod” Kelly on Dec. 5, 1936. To this union three children were born; Wanda, Jimmy and Debi.

She was a dedicated wife and mother and her family was always a fi rst priority. She instilled strong Christian beliefs in her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and sew and was always a farm girl at heart. Gardening, canning and managing a cow/calf operation were her passion.

After the death of her husband in 1963, Vivian became the lunchroom manager at Dover Public Schools. There was never a better cook and the students loved her homemade hot rolls and ginger snap cookies.

In 1973, Vivian married Donald Vincent and retired from Dover School to travel and enjoy family.

With this union she gained three more daughters; Donna Kay Terrell, Betty Edwards and Ruthie Bilderback. Vivian loved Christmas when she could gather family for fun and fellowship.

Vivian was a member of the Dover Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Hennessey Order of Eastern Star. Other organizations that she was active in were: Oak View Grange and The Sons and Daughters of the 89ers.
