‘Squad’ has Trump’s number,’ CNN proclaims
VIEW from behind the plow
CNN, the left-wing television outfit, confidently proclaims that the “Squad,” a group of recently elected far-out leftist representatives who appear to hate America, “has President Donald Trump’s number.”
The network asserts that the group is revealing the “racist” nature of the Trump administration.
It is referring to a “tweet” the president made questioning the patriotism of Rep. Ilhan Omar and her three cohorts.
Trump said The Squad—Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA)— should “go back” and “help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came.”
Ilhan was born in Somalia and is a naturalized American citizen.
She represents a largely Somalian Muslim community in a safely Democratic district in Minnesota. She entered the country as a refugee in 1995.
CNN cites as its authority for its assessment a crowd attending a Trump rally in North Carolina at which the crowd chanted “Send her back! Send her back!” a reference to Omar’s anti-American rants.
A CNN personality, Stephen Collinson, wrote on the CNN website:
“In a moment of unrestrained demagoguery, President Donald Trump presided Wednesday over a crowd chanting “Send her back! Send her back!” about an American Muslim congresswoman who he targeted with racist attacks.
“The scenes at a North Carolina rally provided an ugly overture to a 2020 election campaign already soaked in hate. They exemplified the tribal politics and white nationalism that Trump is making clear he plans to ride to re-election, no matter their impact on America’s fragile societal harmony.”
That’s CNN. It has been among the most savage in its attacks against the president.
The big media is determined to overthrow this president who sidelined their orchestrated plan to seat Hillary Clinton in the White House.
CNN and the other left-wing media still haven’t learned that President Trump was elected because he was the alternate to the plan they were promoting to destroy the U.S. as a constitutional republic. That’s one where regular people are the power as opposed to a centralized socialist system where people become worker bees – slaves.
Some suggest that the president shut down his twitter account and quit responding to the mob that is attempting to undo his election.
While that might make things a little less noisy, every time he does this, it brings on new screeches from the left and reveals to average Americans just how extreme his enemies are.
While middle of the road Americans don’t make a lot of comments, they are listening, watching and turning away from those represented by the Squad.
A CNN piece stated:
“The President was making his first appearance on the trail since escalating his attempt to make the group of congresswomen of color, who are well to the left of most liberals and who in some cases have their own history of inflammatory rhetoric – a proxy for the entire Democratic Party.
“The showdown is revealing the central question of the 2020 election campaign. Will Trump’s embrace of searing racial grievances, tough immigration commentary and rhetorical targeting of nonwhite adversaries that helped electrify his mainly white, blue-collar base and win the White House in 2016 deliver him a second term?”
CNN attempts to use its packet of invectives – racism, xenophobia and the rest – in every comment about the president.
CNN used the commentary to file a plan of undoing Trump’s Electoral College victory by defeating him in 2020 by taking away the swing states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin which Trump won by “ a total of less than 100,000 votes,” the CNN staffer wrote.
No doubt the 2020 presidential election will be a hot one.
While the big media, which is in the leftist deep state pocket, continues to allege that Trump is vile, what they respond to is the president’s response to their own vitriol.
The Center for Immigration Studies in an article written by David North and published Oct. 19, 2018, (before her election) provides this information regarding Omar:
“The Democratic candidate for a safe seat in the U.S. House of Representatives stands accused of immigration/ marriage fraud and bigamy. …
“More precisely, Somalia-born, now-naturalized Ilhan Omar is accused of marrying her own brother while being married to another, as well as misuse of campaign funds, two probably unrelated matters.
“The apparently cosmopolitan Omar, 36, is said to have used $3,000 in campaign funds for personal travel, including a trip to Estonia. The somewhat jumbled AP account of these events fails to explain why she went to that little country, which seems to be distant from either her background or her political ambitions.
Omar admits the marriage, more or less her second, to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and says that he is not her brother, but refuses to release any documents or specific information to support her story.
“Omar’s political skills — no matter to whom she is (or was) married — are remarkable. She unseated the senior member of the Minnesota legislature in a Democratic primary two years ago and, it being a strong Democratic district, she was unopposed in the fall of 2016. She is the first Somali elected to that body, and will be the first in the U.S. House if elected next month.
“Next, the congressman for her district, Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), another Muslim, narrowly failed to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee last year and opted this year to seek office as the Minnesota attorney general (a position once held by Walter Mondale. ... This left an open seat in the national House (it is mostly the city of Minneapolis) and she again secured the Democratic nomination.
“We wrote about an earlier chapter of this saga two years ago, when she was about to be elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives. What we have here is a story about a successful young woman who has put together what may be immigration-related marriage fraud by adroitly using a combination of:
“*U.S. law to get (presumably) a green card for Elmi;
“*The ongoing chaos in Somalia, which she says eliminated the possibility of obtaining birth certificates for herself or her alleged brother;
“*Traditional marriages and divorces (i.e., unrecorded with the authorities) when they met her or her alleged brother’s needs; and
“*A huge dollop of luck.
“The luck includes a substantial amount of governmental non-curiosity; the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the last year of the Obama administration, according to the AP story, said it was not investigating the marriage-fraud charges; that might be attributed to political tilt.
“And then, for almost two years of the Trump administration, there has been no (or no announced) investigation of the same charges, which either indicates that she is as clean as a whistle or that the new U.S. attorney is asleep at the switch.
“Another bit of luck: When the press started paying attention to the matter, it found a reporter with an alarming lack of knowledge of America’s immigration policies; to quote the AP report:
“Conservative online sites have alleged that Elmi is Omar’s brother and she married him to commit immigration fraud.
“It’s unclear exactly what type of fraud is alleged, but spouses of U.S. citizens typically have a quicker path to citizenship than siblings, though neither is guaranteed citizenship.
“The basic concept that a marriage of a citizen to an alien grants that alien a green card seems to have missed our correspondent. And while it is true that a spouse of a citizen has a three-year wait for naturalization, and a sibling of one has a five-year wait, that is hardly a motivation for marriage fraud.
“One more bit of luck for the future member of Congress: Elmi, who she says is a British citizen, apparently is in London and no journalist or fed has bothered to talk to him.
“In the AP story, Omar’s replies to all this are those of the victim combined with overtones of the royal ‘we’:
“‘We choose not to further the narratives of those who would oppose us,’ Omar’s statement said, adding that she believes the claims are being made by people who want to stop a black, female Muslim from sitting in Congress.’”
