Letter to the editor

I have three things on my mind today.

1. If you haven’t driven through the Kingfisher City Park lately, you should make a point of doing so this week.

The Redbud trees are just magnificent! Thank you to John Gooden and Brian Walter and all their volunteers who planted them.

2. While you drive through the park notice how smooth the road is – not!!

If I were the city manager and city council, I would hang my head in shame. I talked to the city manager about this and his exact words were: “ I can assure you, Mrs. Henderson, as soon as we get the two bridges replaced and highway 33 open again, that will be our next project.”

That was three years ago.

3. If you haven’t walked or driven by the city offices, you need to. The ladies who work there make sure the windows are decorated for the holidays. Fall was beautiful, Christmas was so pretty; they were decorated for St. Patrick’s Day and now Easter. Thank you ladies for all the neat ideas and the pretty decorations.
