Biden picking anti-free speech cabinet
Joe Biden, Democrat stand-in, who the media has proclaimed president-elect called for “healing” in the nation in his pseudo-acceptance remarks.
In progressive talk that means “do what I say when I tell you; otherwise sit down and shut up.”
The possibility of a Biden presidency, short-lived as it is likely to be - the man’s not well - is concerning to those who still consider America the home of the free.
Democrat and George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley has revealed that the Biden transition team has taken an “ominous turn” after former Vice President Joe Biden hired a number of anti-free speech zealots.
We got a dose of their particular brand of public speech during the recent election campaign.
The New York Post reports that Biden tapped Richard Stengel to take the “team lead” position on the US Agency for Global Media, including Voice of America, the Middle East Broadcasting Networks and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty,” Turley writes on his website. “As I previously addressed in a column, Stengel has been one of the most controversial figures calling for censorship and speech controls. For a president-elect who just called for everyone to “hear each other,” he picked a top aide who wants to silence many.
As columnist Katie Pavlich says:
Since it would be difficult to select a more anti-free speech figure to address government media policy, one has to assume that Biden will continue the onslaught against this core freedom as president. This is not the first Biden aide to indicate a crackdown on free speech in a new administration and Biden himself has called for greater censorship on the Internet.”
“Last year, Stengel wrote a chilling Washington Post op-ed that denounced free speech as a threat to social and political harmony. Like a number of liberal and Democratic figures, Stengel struggled to convince readers that what they need is less freedom: “All speech is not equal. And where truth cannot drive out lies, we must add new guardrails. I’m all for protecting ‘thought that we hate, but not speech that incites hate,” he continues. “In January, Biden called for greater speech controls on the Internet and denounced Twitter for allowing others to speak freely. He insisted that tolerating such views in the name of free speech is same as “propagating falsehoods they know to be false.” Biden called for companies to bar Trump views on such things as mail-in voting as an invitation for fraud. He is not alone. Congressional leaders like House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff have called for labeling and removal of material with some members directly threatening a legislative crackdown.”
Such moves portend an attack on all news outlets that don’t toe the party line.
The U.S. would then resemble the old United Socialist States of Russia rather than the United States, complete with the tattletales to inform on the communist unbelievers and keep them in line.
The conglomerate of media, tech companies and corporate big shots piling on President Trump with a unified blast of propaganda during the presidential election demonstrates the leftist plan for Americans.
The goal is for everyone to march in lockstep to their orders and the propaganda blast by those entities was designed to make it seem that their plan was the norm.
The message was this: anyone who doesn’t agree with them is an “enemy of the state.”
While the Blue Wave they expected was a huge disappointment to them - they lost ground in the House, and didn’t take control of the Senate (yet, anyway - the left is undoubtedly attempting to pull the same fraudulent tricks in the special Georgia Senate races that they did in presidential race), the left is resolute in its desire to destroy America.
Why is clear. The left wants to destroy our constitutional republic where citizens decide and become dictators.
This reminds us that the Russian (and old Soviet) publication, Pravda, means truth in Russian. It was used to lay out the communist line. No one was allowed to depart from that, lest he - or she, be sent to “re-education” camps from which many did not return, according to history we’ve read.
The New York Times appears to be working to become the Pravda of the U.S. with its constant assault on American history and values.
If it survives, we would suggest a Russian name for it - “Lozh” (Lies).
Another Russian word, “Vrango,” illustrates the leftist culture. It’s a system where one leftist tells a bald-faced lie no one is expected to believe, but it is polite to pretend to believe the lie, thereby endorsing it.
Meanwhile Rudy Giuliani, leader of President Trump’s legal team, continues confidently predicting that enough fraud has been exposed in the presidential election to overturn the media’s prematurely projected Biden win.
The Electoral College doesn’t act until Dec. 14.
Sen. Charles Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) boast “Now we take, Georgia, then we change America” may be howling at the moon.
That’s our prayer.
Schumer should realize some 72 million of America’s qualified voters cast their ballots for President Trump and despise Marxism.
