Deceit on display when protests turn to riots
Deceit, a despised trait since the start of human history, was on full display during the uproar across our bi-coastal Progressive zip codes in recent days.
While there was legitimate outrage on the part of many Americans of color over the death of an unarmed black man in Minneapolis who was arrested on a rather minor infraction – passing a bogus $20 bill that he might not have even known was bogus, the protests were quickly taken over by others who couldn’t have cared less about Floyd. The protest outrage was used as a tool to attempt to destroy the fairest, most successful government in the history of the world.
Deceit, indeed, plus a large measure of hypocrisy.
Our first thought on hearing of the incident in which an officer held the handcuffed suspect with his knee against his neck was that the officers were deathly afraid of the man.
It appeared to be a bullying tactic that surely wasn’t taught at the police academy. Before we go any further, we need to emphasize that
Before we go any further, we need to emphasize that we support police. A country without a professional police system quickly turns anarchist. We especially support our professional and concerned local law enforcement agencies.
We saw how quickly anarchy could spring up after the George Floyd death; when antifa thugs used the protests to launch full-blown riots in many large cities. Antifa, which supposedly stands for anti-fascist, is the
Antifa, which supposedly stands for anti-fascist, is the exact opposite of what it claims. It is a domestic terrorist organization determined to destroy law and order in America and turn the nation into a socialist dictatorship. That’s our opinion. If you don’t agree, explain where we’re wrong.
Columnist Josh Hammer puts it this way:
“The fraying of America into two discordant, silently warring tribes underscores all the nationwide mayhem of the past two weeks. One tribe looks at the societal uproar and sees a decades-long strive toward fuller equality and justice; the other tribe looks at the chaos and sees a ruinous and self-destructive breakdown of law and order. But those in the former camp cannot plausibly claim to understand the grievances of the latter camp if their most prestigious arbiter of opinion refuses to consider the latter’s median viewpoint to be within the window of tolerable opinions for polite society.”
The current unrest can be tied to the immigration – legal and illegal – policies of recent decades. The nation’s left establishment has been behind the
The nation’s left establishment has been behind the movement to bring in increasing numbers of foreign born people it can manipulate to achieve its goal politically – an ever more centralized government it can use to end America’s constitutional republic.
Columnist Ann Coulter in a column she titled, “Why you no longer recognize your country,” commented:
“You don’t recognize your country because it’s not the same country. What you’re seeing is the third-world hellhole the left has been quietly assembling for us since 1970.
“Minnesota, the crucible of the riots, has gone from having 2.6% foreign-born in 1990 to nearly 10% foreign-born today – and that’s not including their children or illegals. “Instead of liberal but non-rioting Scandinavians and
“Instead of liberal but non-rioting Scandinavians and Germans, the new immigrants are overwhelmingly African, Asian and Hispanic. In fact, Minnesota now has a much larger proportion of Asian and African immigrants than the nation as a whole.
“Although the state has always leaned Democratic, thanks to its German and Scandinavian immigrants (Ben Franklin was right about them), the Norsemen elected Walter Mondale. Recent immigrants elected Rep. Ilhan Omar.”
“Now that the bi-coastal elitists have nearly total control over the national media, they use every incident to create a “crisis.”
The left’s immediate goal is to defeat President Donald Trump who stands in the path of their road to total control.
If that is accomplished, the sky’s the limit.
Of course, there are a few police who are bad actors.
With the thousands of police officers in the country, there’s got to be a few unprincipled ones that must be weeded out.
New York City alone has 36,000 officers.
Read the column on the right-hand sign of this page on ideas to upgrade police work – a much better idea than defunding police departments.
Hammer also has this suggestion:
“If the United States of America is to perdure (ed. note: a $5 word meaning survive) without unraveling into two warring Divided States of America, we desperately need to recover our lost senses of civic unity and national purpose. Much of this can, and should, be done purely by private actors – think of casual human interactions like recreational league softball teams and book clubs. But there is a role for government policy here. Immigration policy must prioritize assimilation and cultural cohesion. Education policy must prioritize fostering civic knowl-policy and re-shored critical supply chains over the ethereal interests of globalization. Our political leaders must rally in unison around cherished shared symbols like the national flag.”
