Who Democrats choose to try to unseat President Donald Trump in this presidential election year creates some interesting speculation.

One thing seems sure to happen; this presidential election will become one of the nastiest in the history of the republic. The left will use dark money in an all-out effort to complete the overthrow of our government, returning to a system initiated by Barack Obama, Billionaire George Soros’ hand-picked puppet in the White House.

Hillary Clinton was supposed to be a shoo-in to complete the coup of remaking America as an increasingly socialist country but a majority of Americans in still-important states put their foot down resoundingly.

This year the leftist elite are already involved in an internecine battle, upset because only old white people are left in the race with the departure of black candidates Cory Booker and Kamala Harris.

Ken Blackwell, former Ohio state treasurer and an advisor to the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., (yes, he’s a conservative) warns of the influence of “dark money” in a recent column on Townhall.com.

He obviously knows more about the situation than we do, so here are some excerpts of what he wrote:

Don’t Be Fooled by Liberal Dark Money

“Hypocrisy in politics is typical, but every so often it reaches a new low. Such is the case with a recent political ad attacking dark money’s influence in politics, an ad funded by dark money. The group Future Majority did exactly that as part of its 2018 efforts to elect Democrats to Congress. Now groups like Future Majority are focused on denying President Trump re-election in 2020.

“Democrats have no good response to the president’s popularity and his accomplished record, so they turn to dark money funded smear campaigns to try and discredit him and his supporters. Politico reports one such dark money group - Future Majority - is prepared to invest $60 million in swing states like Wisconsin and Michigan in 2020 to try to defeat the president.

“Another dark money group is Arabella Advisors, orchestrators of many supposed “grassroots” campaigns on issues ranging from climate change to President Trump’s Supreme Court nominees. But in reality, Arabella doesn’t organize actual grassroots opposition to the Trump administration, it creates fake groups that pump out phony opposition through subsidiaries such as the Sixteen Thirty Fund.

“One Arabella campaign focuses on President Trump’s tax cuts. Liberals want to replace the Trump tax cuts with tax hikes to finance more spending. But repealing the Trump tax cuts would be disastrous to the economy as the cuts allow working people to keep more of what they earn and they are incentivizing businesses to re-invest in America.

“According to Edwin Feulner, the founder of the Heritage Foundation, “The tax cut contributed to the strong economy we’ve been enjoying, leading many businesses to hire more and more workers. The United States added more than 2.6 million new jobs in the year following the passage of the tax cut — nearly a 25 percent increase from the previous year.”

Left Attempting to Add Alien Voters

The left is in a frenzy to change the demographics of the nation, pulling out all stops to make illegal immigrants voters in order to gain the election results it was denied in 2016.

Attacks on the Constitution, including the drive to remove the requirement for presidents to be selected by the Electoral College – a system that protects the majority of the nation from being trampled by a few high population centers – are all part of this maneuvering.

As usual the left presents its goals as fairness and providing free goods and services to those who want to have all stress removed from their lives, an alluring trap for the naive and particularly for newcomers who aren’t aware of the nation’s founding and progress as the freest nation in the history of mankind.

To such people, America appears to be a free candy store.

People such as Vermont socialist Sen. and presidential candidate Bernie Sanders sing this siren song to pull in the unwary.

Really, all the Democrat candidates sing the same tune. The others just aren’t as forthright as Bernie.

President Trump’s efforts have turned the nation around: lowering taxes, eliminating needless and costly government regulation, overturning the anti-free enterprise aspects of Obamacare (officially and hypocritically called the Affordable Care Act).

People keep more of the money they earn and the result has been a much improved economy with more jobs, benefiting citizens at every level.

Blackwell predicts that if the dark money is successful in defeating Trump, the leftist forces will immediately go to work to undo the president’s gains and return to days of inefficiency, strangling controls and a fl at-lined economy.

Oh – and before we forget – they can return to favoring America’s enemies over American citizens with full government authority.
