Does delusional Crockett speak for all on the Left?
A comment from a Texas congresswoman named Jasmine Crockett reveals the incurable delusion of leftists.
She was quoted widely last week calling President Trump, the “enemy of America.”
The Democratic Party’s principal talking point after getting pummeled at the polls Nov. 5 is name calling.
Here’s how it all started: Crockett called Trump a “dumb dupe,” and apologized to the world on America’s behalf after the dust-up with the Ukrainian leader, Zelenskyy, in the White House.
“I don’t really understand what is going on, and I don’t know what it’s going to take to get people to wake up,” she said. “We are not living in a safe country when we decide that we are going to weaken our national security by getting rid of those that are watching our nuclear stockpile, by giving everything over to a private friend known as Elon Musk. We are getting rid of all of the inspector generals [sic]. And so there’s literally a lack of checks-and-balances all around us.”
Earlier in the interview, Crockett spoke about how Zelenskyy was mocked for wearing his trademark military fatigues rather than a suit to the White House. Zelenskyy had been asked by a reporter why he doesn’t wear a suit, and had been greeted by Trump with the comment, “You’re all dressed up today.”
She blasted Trump for how “he wanted to talk about his clothes” and suggested, “Maybe this is because Trump never wanted to go serve his country. And right now, the only service that he’s giving to us is driving our country apart.”
Perhaps Crockett should go back to grade school and learn.
President Trump is working to reduce worldwide tension and encouraging Russian President Putin to pull away from Chinese influence and become more attuned to the western world’s concerns.
Incidentally Ukraine’s government has been known for its corruption for years.
Yes, Americans are right to feel sympathy for the poor Ukrainian normals who have borne terrible loss, but as President Trump says the whole thing could have been avoided with reasonable American leadership.
America had forgotten the first president, George Washington’s advice in his farewell address about avoiding foreign entanglements. He also suggested the nation not have political parties. We’ve got both.
As historian Mark Lewis recently observed: “Disregarding both of these has caused tremendous difficulties for the country, cost taxpayers trillions of wasted money, and has divided the country, probably irreparably. But we were warned.”
Lewis reminded that the U.S. decision to enter NATO, is, however, understandable.
“I would be curious to know what George Washington would have advised us about entering NATO,” he wrote. “I fear he might have been dubious. The 11 nations that began NATO in 1949 did have a goal, and a legitimate concern—the Soviet Union. The Cold War was heating up, and the USSR was powerful and victorious in the recent war, but, fortunately, Franklin Roosevelt was no longer around to kiss Joseph Stalin’s backside and give him everything he wanted. Somebody needed to let Stalin know that, no, we won’t allow you to overrun Europe and the world. NATO was designed to send that message. In response, Stalin created the Warsaw Pact, and the Cold War got hotter.”
Then he wrote: “One could argue about how successful NATO was, but that’s not my point. NATO started as a mutual defense pact against a Soviet Union that no longer exists. What is the purpose for the continued existence of NATO?
“‘Entangling alliances’ are hard to get out of. Especially since one of the major purposes of governments nowadays is to provide bloated jobs for countless useless bureaucrats. And the military-industrial complex has convinced us that ‘Russia is still a threat.’” He recalled that Boris Yeltsin and the revamped Russian government made overtures of peace and friendship with the West. They were no longer bent on Marxist ‘world domination. They wanted the benefits of being friendly with the West. And here, the United States made two of the stupidest mistakes in its history.
“First, we refused to offer the hand of friendship to Russia and refused to try to build a good, solid relationship based on trade and mutual understanding. Instead, we continued to be suspicious of them, treated them as an enemy, and made no attempt to solidify a friendship. The second mistake we made was we flat-out lied to them.
“George Bush’s Secretary of State, James Baker, promised the Russians, very clearly, that NATO would NOT expand eastward. Well, that was just a lie. And it was a lie because the United States, as the most powerful member of NATO, could have controlled its membership. Indeed, it could have—SHOULD have—ended the organization. Russia was no threat to us militarily; they weren’t going to attack the United States or Europe. They simply were not in a position to do so. Yes, because of their nuclear arsenal, the world needs to keep a diligent eye on Russia. That is certainly a necessity for EVERY nation with nuclear weapons. Do you trust England and France now? And, yes, because of various other world threats, America needs the leanest, meanest fighting machine on earth. If anybody even THINKS of menacing us, we need to let them know, in no uncertain terms, that the United States of America will not tolerate such. We shouldn’t be bullying people; we just need to stand firm for America.
“Do we need NATO to accomplish that? We lied to Russia. From the beginning of 11 nations, NATO now has 30. Every nation and its dog wanted to join. If Europe is afraid of Russia, let Europe have its “entangling alliances.” But keep us out of it. I’m tired of funding the world for other people’s causes. How many trillions of dollars has America wasted on useless “‘entangling alliances’” Brian Walter, whose efforts to encourage members of Congress to enact a balanced budget through his “No Budget No Pay” crusade appears to be gaining traction. In an article in last Sunday’s edition, Walter observed that the late Sen. Tom Coburn identified the major problem with America’s government – greed.
The massive amount of waste and corruption disclosed by DOGE proves that.
American taxpayers’ hard-earned money has been wasted on programs that return funds to line the pockets of dishonest members of the Washington insiders.
Loss of this lucrative income source explains the outrage of the leftists who are fighting Trump’s corrective measures at every turn.
People like Crockett are undoubtedly encouraged to hurl invective at President Trump for his efforts to save America.
Some congressional Democrats even announced beforehand plans to disrupt Trump’s speech to Congress Tuesday evening with a variety of props. One did and was tossed out.
President Trump displayed amazing energy and determination in his speech to a joint meeting of Congress last week.
He didn’t sound as if he were going to drop his fight against waste and more.
