Help Glenda build the Playground of Dreams

By

I have heard this saying many times: “Life is short!”

As you grow older and look back on life, you realize it is so true - life is short.

As one who is approaching 83 years of age, I know that each day is a blessing.

Hopefully for each of us, we will be able to reflect on our life and be able to say, “I made a difference.” Mankind is a little better because of my life and the way I lived it.

Recently we lost a young lady of our community to cancer. At an early age, she realized that not all people were born equal. Some had less mental and physical abilities. She had great compassion for the less fortunate. Her college studies prepared her to help people with “special needs.” Her heart was filled with empathy for such people and she dedicated her professional life to the service of children and adults who were handicapped.

A few years ago, I saw a movie called The Bucket List starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. They teamed together to do the 10 things they had on their bucket list before the good Lord called their number.

I am pretty sure on the list for Glenda Boeckman Wolf was the desire to complete the park called Wheatbelt Ambucs of Kingfisher County’s Playground of Dreams. This park would serve all people but would also be equipped to serve our citizens who are handicapped.

We call all to help make Glenda’s dream come true. If we all give a little, no one would have to give a lot.

I don’t have a horse in this race, but I do have a niece that I was so very fond of. She was special. I want to help her dream come true.

You can help also. Please send donations to: Wheat-belt Ambucs of Kingfisher County’s Playground of Dreams, P.O. Box 203, Kingfisher, OK 73750.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.

So he put his arms around you and whispered ‘Come with me.’

With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

Best wishes to all,

Kenneth Glazier
