State of the Union

We watched the presidential state of the Union address. The best I can describe it, I’m proud to be an American ! I won’t even attempt to go over the address. There were several emotional parts, at least for me. The first was when President Trump recognized the first black fighter pilot; this man served in three wars, beginning with WW2. When President Trump recognized him, he stood up and saluted, awesome!

President Trump recognized several others, including a soldier’s wife, that is helping other wives cope with their husbands being deployed, her own, being on his fourth tour in Afghanistan. The emotional part for me was a surprise reunion with the soldier and that family; those are always happy times.

Last but not least, the disgusting performance of the Democratic members of Congress. Chuck Schumer, was making snide remarks to whomever was sitting beside him, every time the president said something that made everyone else cheer. The worst was when President Trump made his final remark, Pelosi, made a big deal out of tearing up her copy of the presidential address. Disgusting is the words I will use. Y’all knowing me, my actual words would be unprintable here.
