Jon’s Ramblin’s
Pledge of Allegiance
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.
Maybe we should repeat the pledge, every day. I also took the oath to uphold the constitution and protect it against all enemies foreign and domestic. I have never been released from that oath.
Why am I writing this? A local person posted on Facebook, about letters to the editor in a local newspaper, being written by a wanna be patriot. I consider myself a patriot, under no uncertain terms.
I’m gonna address the coronavirus situation. The spirit of America never ceases to amaze me. Our leaders have taken the bull by the horns, literally. The people have taken the call; most everybody is doing something – large or small. Manufacturers are modifying their factories to turn out needed supplies, churches are getting meals to seniors, schools are seeing that students get fed. The list goes on, everybody’s pulling together. We all pray for the cleansing of the earth.
God bless America and our leaders.
