The Spirit of Oklahoma
Tuesday evening, May 21
We’ve had tornadoes in other parts of the state, local flooding – plenty of water, for sure.
It never ceases to amaze me in times like this everybody jumps in and helps their neighbors.
In Kingfisher, the First Baptist Church has opened a shelter for folks displaced from their homes by the flood waters, plenty of food and water and a place to sleep.
Everyone helps in their own way.
In areas where tornadoes have done damage, it’s neighbors helping neighbors. The Spirit of Oklahoma is alive and well.
The rest of the world could take lessons from us “Okies.”
I’m proud to be an Okie.
God bless America,
Jon Cochran Sr.
