KHS names Students of the Month

Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for August 2020.

Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and others.

Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Peyton Walker, sophomore Kyle Borelli, junior Slade Snodgrass and senior Ian Daugherty.

Walker is the daughter of Charles and Julie Walker.

She is currently serving as the freshman class president and was chosen by her peers to be freshman class queen.

Walker is active in Student Council and is a member of the KHS basketball, soccer and track teams.

Borelli is the son of Greg and Vaynna Borelli.

He is an active member of Student Council, the Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society.

Borelli plays football for KHS and is a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul youth group.

Snodgrass is the son of Mark and Angie Snodgrass.

He is an active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Council.

Snodgrass plays football and baseball at KHS and is currently serving as junior class Student Council representative.

He is also a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society.

Daugherty is the son of Derek and Micah Daugherty.

He is an active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society.

Daugherty plays baseball and basketball at KHS and is currently serving as the KHS student body secretary. He is also a member of the First Baptist Church Youth Group.

He is listed on the superintendent’s honor roll and has been chosen student of the month all four years of high school.

Among his athletics honors, Daugherty in 2019 was named to the Little All-City Baseball and All-City prep baseball teams.

He has committed to play baseball at Oklahoma State University.
