LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Thank you Father, mother, the Great I Am for this day. May the words I write be alright in thy sight.
Acts 4:32: “All believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own but they shared everything they had.”
Hubert Humphrey, the late great U.S. Senator from Minnesota, said, “The moral test of government is how it treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the aged; and those in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy and the handicapped.”
Luke, showing us the seeds of some kind of Christian-oriented democracy. The early church was responding to tangible expressions of love based on the needs of its membership.
It was a tangible expression of their love for each other.
I remember Senator Humphrey and our little giant from Oklahoma, Representative Carl Albert. These men cared about the aged, sick, poor and the needy.
Today we have Sen. Mitch McConnel who only cares about maintaining power for himself, Rich Mitch.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi is the only one in Congress that can wear Carl Albert’s shoes. I love her. Thank you for thinking about the needy. Hero Act for all frontline workers.
Please Father of Creation, guide President Trump into the light and out of the White House.
Where we go one, we go all into the light with Jesus. No darkness, only light. So be it. So it is.
