I’d be surprised if anyone other than me noticed the nice Specialized Bikes pictured on page 5B of last Wednesday’s “Back to School” edition insert.

Specialized is an American bicycle manufacturing company that began in 1974 and it’s my bike brand of choice.

The Pitch or Rockhoppers shown are an entry level mountain bike, but they are far superior to anything that can be purchased at a discount retailer.

I’m sure a dealer helped with the pricing for the Dover School system, but they will give the lab students years of trouble-free service with only tire and tube maintenance, and a little periodic chain lubrication.

Hats off to Max Thomas, Jason Sternberger and the rest of our Kingfisher County superintendents, principals, teachers and others for keeping our students ready for their future professional endeavors.

It’s the little things that can make a big difference and that’s just one little thing this citizen noticed.
