Regarding potential of KPS layoffs

By

To whom it may concern: I am a 1974 graduate of Kingfisher High School.

When we went to school here, we were taught to respect others and be responsible for our actions.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

The school board and the district is trying push their mistakes onto the taxpayers and the Kingfisher County Excise Board.

If they didn’t let their insurance lapse, they wouldn’t be where they are today.

If they do any layoffs, it was due to the board members and the school system for not doing their jobs.

I think the school board should quit pointing fingers and learn from their mistakes and turn this school back into the great school it used to be.

Regards, Dean A. Rayburn

( Ed. note: As has been reported, Kingfisher Public Schools did not allow its insurance to lapse at any point. KPS switched carriers prior to its previous carrier becoming insolvent.)
