Thank you Father, Mother, The Great I Am for this day that thy has made. I shall be glad in it. May the words I write be alright in thy sight, my Judge and my King.
John 17:20 - “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.”
People respond to the urge to intercede in a meaningful way. Jesus prays for His disciples to demonstrate how to use intercessory prayer for the sake of others.
Jesus was a man ofprayer. Jesus was not just interested in His relationship with the Father, but also concerned for His followers. Jesus prays for every disciple, those present and far beyond in the future.
The idea of unity appears in more that one place in John 17. The nature of Jesus’ call for unity of the kind that exists between the Father and Jesus himself. It is a unity that penetrates believers from above and compels them to be one in brotherly love.
Thank you Father for Joe Biden. His Jan. 20 speech was right on time. Love you Joe.
