VIEW from behind the plow
How silly is the so-called Trump impeachment fiasco, which is scheduled to officially end Wednesday with a Senate “no” vote.
It would almost be funny if the group of miscreants who claim to be members of a legitimate political party weren’t using it in an effort to destroy America’s constitutional government.
Although House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (You remember her – she’s the one who giggled foolishly on TV that she and fellow house members would have to pass the Affordable Care Act [Obamacare] before they knew what was in it).
She was trying desperately last Friday to dictate rules on how the senate was to operate, it was revealed that Senate President Mitch McConnell had the votes to stop the coup attempt in its tracks.
Then the California leftist darling proceeded to tell Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts what he needed to do to prolong the witch hunt.
Although having additional witnesses testify might have revealed the depth of depravity our national government had descended, those things might be revealed in other ways as the president continues efforts to “drain the swamp.”
Elitists Panicked By President Trump
That is likely one of the major reasons Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler and Co. were so intent on attempting to depose a president legally elected by American citizens, signalling they don’t believe normal people are able to make intelligent decisions in the voting booth. This group apparently doesn’t even trust its own voters.
Pelosi is not so stupid as to not know she was attempting a nefarious plan. She simply didn’t care. It was more important to her to overturn the will of the people and oust somebody from the presidency who was not a Washington insider.
It seems obvious that her desire is to destroy a functioning, highly successful government which receives its right to govern from its citizens and turn it into a nation ruled by an elite few, who, in their minds, are superior to normal people.
Don’t expect the attacks on this president to stop despite the latest in a string of humiliating defeats for the leftists. President Trump can’t be controlled by the elitists and they are in panic mode. The elite have been foiled by the emergence of a system
The elite have been foiled by the emergence of a system that allows everyday kinds of citizens to share their opinions with each other without them being filtered through major TV networks, a few large newspapers snd national magazines whose unannounced but obvious loyalty was to politicians determined to destroy the United States from within.
To this point, that Internet hasn’t been brought under the control of the government.
Retiring Speaker Pelosi Is Trump’s Goal
President Trump apparently believes one answer to reducing the acrimony in Washington is to retire Pelosi as speaker. The leftists in California obviously will continue returning the aging and tiring speaker to Congress but she doesn’t have a lifetime lock on the speaker’s job.
Free Press International News Service reports that House Republicans and President Donald Trump believe the 18-seat net gain needed for the GOP to re-take control of the House from Democrats is within reach this November, especially after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s record-setting fundraising effort in 2019.
“We need to win back the House to retire Nancy once and for all, and to elect Kevin McCarthy as speaker,” Trump told Breitbart News.
According to a report by Breitbart on Monday, McCarthy’s four fundraising entities — Take Back The House 2020, McCarthy Victory Fund, Kevin McCarthy for Congress, and Majority Committee PAC — combined took in $52.35 million last year, $8 million more than the previous record set by then-House Speaker Paul Ryan in 2017.
Republicans in the 2020 election need to flip a net of 18 seats to take back the majority in the House. There are 30 districts represented by Democrats that Trump won in 2016.
One of those is District 5 in Oklahoma where Democrat Kendra Horn won in 2018.
That deep red state Oklahoma elected a Democrat to the House is a warning to conservatives.
Virginia, a formerly not-so-terrible state, elected a Democrat governor and Democrat-dominated legislature thanks to tons of left-wing money poured into elections and a passive Republican party.
The result has been a rash of gun control bills enacted in Virginia.
The gun grabbers obviously will try the same tactic elsewhere: grab control of a sleeping state and go for the guns.
Columnist-author Jarrett Stepman puts it this way: “No matter how conservative your state has been in the past, you’re just one leftist legislature away from radical change.”
