Reagan did it before, and Trump can do it again
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.” – Ronald Reagan
The above quote by the late President Ronald Reagan relates to today’s national struggle against communism as much as it did during Reagan’s presidency.
The remark was made during what was known as Reagan’s Freedom Speech, maybe better known as his “A Time for Choosing” speech.
Reagan delivered the address while the country was grappling with the threat of Communism and other foreign adversaries, all while civil rights and other domestic issues were taking center stage at home. With his Freedom Speech, Reagan sought to unify the American people around the shared common goal of pursuing freedom, which he emphasized wasn’t a guarantee. He aimed to motivate listeners out of complacency, to inspire them to keep fighting for the freedom that he knew could be at risk if they weren’t vigilant. That idea has survived for generations and serves as a clarion call to not lose sight of the value of freedom—and the risks of it dissipating from American society.
President Reagan pulled America out of the grasp of Marxist ideology during his tenure in the White House, while being opposed almost constantly by a media that was then called “liberal.”
Ninety percent of the national media today can accurately be described as leftist.
Trump's opposition similar to Reagan's
Current President Donald Trump faces similar opposition to that faced by Reagan, although the national media today is even less honest and more vitriolic than it was in the 1980s.
They don’t even try to hide their lies from the populace today, possibly thinking most Americans have been “dumbed down” enough by now not to know the difference.
Federal officials – especially Democrats in Congress – have become much ruder and more hostile toward everyday citizens than they once were.
That also is Trump’s fault, they explain, because of his mean tweets.
No law degree required?
The House Judiciary meeting with Attorney General William Barr last week was so ugly that columnist Jeff Dunetz, writing for the blog site, The Lid, said he realized that a person didn’t have to have a law degree to serve as A.G.
Why? Because during the five-plus hours of the hearing, Democratic members of the committee refused to let Barr talk.
Dunetz pointed out that if he had known it didn’t require legal knowledge to become a lawyer – like his mother wanted him to be – he could have become the A.G.
Barr wasn’t allowed to answer a single question, Dunetz said, because each time Barr would start to talk, the House member would cut him off by “reclaiming my time.”
The House members simply wanted to attack Barr with false accusations – thus the Trump presidency – which Barr represented.
“See, no legal knowledge needed,” Dunetz wrote. It appears obvious that the rioting in America is the left’s big weapon in the effort to defeat Trump.
You do understand how these “peaceful protests” become riots?
See, some big old mean federal building filled with federal officers drops in on a legal protest and begins to attack the peaceful protesters.
The peaceful protesters have to protect themselves by trying to burn it down.
The same logic can be applied to statues and other historical markers that have fallen prey to rioting. The statues lope up to a peaceful protest and begin to act mean to those present.The protesters’ only recourse is to topple the statues and toss them in the nearest river.
Of course, the statues have to be first punished for this attack by being severely spray-painted.
Herman Cain dies
The death of Herman Cain is indeed sad news. He would have made an excellent president.

Herman Cain, the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza and 2012 presidential candidate, has died. Cain contracted the coronavirus at Donald Trump’s Tulsa rally, so expect a lot of concern trolling from the liberal media in the coming hours, which compounds this tragic event. Cain was known for his triple nine plan (aka “9-9-9 plan”) when he ran for the Republican nomination for president, which involved a 9 percent personal income tax, a 9 percent corporate tax, and a 9 percent federal sales tax.
Meanwhile former President Barack Obama used the funeral of a congressman, John Lewis, as the venue for an outright political attack on President Trump.
It could be expected. Obama was the ‘great divider.”
