Jeffries threatens ‘fighting in the streets’

Hakeem Jeffries, the leader of the Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives, claimed three times in an item on Politico – a sure supporter for all things leftist– that Republicans in the House are “engaged in a civil war.”

Politico was quoting an ABC News – an equally discredited leftist outfit – interview as its source.

Of course, experience says that everything a leftist Democrat says Republicans are doing is exactly what his Democrat Party is doing.

Jeffries, a New York Democrat, also was hoping that House Republicans – who are likely to be free thinkers rather than the devotees of the latest Democrat party line – would be divided on the issue of preventing a government shutdown last Friday – something that Democrats could point at collectively and falsely claim the Republican Party was opposed to the people.

The Democrats have been in power so long they can’t get used to being out of complete control.

They’re especially angry that their plan to be in power forever was upset by the American people last November when they elected the “orange man” (Trump) and seated a Republican Congress as well.

It is undoubtedly true that the federal government’s legislative and executive branches underwent a badly needed transformation in the November 2024 elections.

That allowed President Trump to create the DOGE department headed by business outsider Elon Musk to quickly reveal millions of dollars of waste and presumptive corruption by the preceding dominant Democrat Party, which had financed its rise to power by buying votes with taxpayer money.

Yes, “free” government money is addictive to certain segments of society.

It should be remembered that Jeffries recently declared Democrats would “fight in the streets” against President Donald Trump. Since then, everyone from “the squad” to “The View” to Mad Maxine Waters has pitched this notion of “takin’ it to the streets” to battle the president. Last Tuesday, they brought the fight inside the hallowed chambers of the Capitol, reports Al Perotta, creator of the daily Bananas Republic substack, former managing editor and writer of The Brew newsletter for The Stream, co-author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Immigration and Hostile Intent, former VP/creative director for All Comedy Radio, and writer-producer for the Voice of America.

For years, Leftwing activists have been attempting to coerce conservatives to leave government. However, conservatives as a whole don’t want either to rule or to be ruled. They just want to live under a constitutional government that treats everyone the same and doesn’t try to push goofy ideas down the throats of sensible people.

After reading Jeffries threat to go to war in the streets, I tried to picture in my mind how a leftist coalition of states would look.

Would the leftist nation have a collection of postage stamp size New England states, plus the fringe edge of the Pacific Left, uh West Coast?

With jet service they could still huddle together to work out the details for their anti-Christian, sex change program for all under-age children world, plus endless spending as long as they could find somebody to buy their bonds.

When Jeffries suggests fighting in the streets, I presume he’s talking about New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and other blue cities in poorly run states.

Us conservatives don’t want to fight and usually avoid them except when an overbearing bully someone insists on fighting us.

I also wonder if Jeffries has considered the fact that 80% of the nation approves of President Trump’s agenda at this point.

Democratic Party advisor James Carville has advised his party to wait until Trump’s agenda fails.

The problem for Democrats is, though, that Trump managed a major success economically the last time he was in office and will work hard to do the same again for America.

While some, including some within his own party, warn against the tariffs President Trump is proposing to force countries taking advantage of U.S. businesses to play fair, predicting a financial digression, perhaps the president has other moves up his sleeve. He has proven cagey in that respect and who’s to say he won’t be successful again.

I wouldn’t bet against him. No doubt our government is sharply divided, principally due to the Left’s outrageous efforts to define our constitution as something it never was – a device to rule citizens and turn them into subjects while forcing them through taxation, to dispense those funds to its favorites in power.

History tells us that socialist-communist dictatorships inevitably destroy themselves through decadence and bankruptcy.

A number of American institutions have been subverted during the past century to permit the previous Obama-Biden-Harris administrations to hold powerful positions they weren’t capable of stewarding properly. These include education, media (papers, TV, arts and entertainment, non-governmental organizations), open borders policies and Deep State bureaucracy.

Continuing as we were during the previous administration was a roadmap to destruction.

The nation might have beenabletostumblethrough a few more decades as it was but the hand-writing was on the wall. Decadence and bankruptcy don’t lend themselves to sound governance and healthy nations.

Our founders pointed out the government they created was fit only for a moral people.

It worked better than any other in the history of the world for more than a hundred years, then the supposed elite gained control (Think FDR, Woodrow Wilson and Lyndon B. Johnson).

Democrats are blaming Trump for problems created by predecessor Biden.

Columnist Cal Thomas nails it when he writes: “Detox is painful, but the result is worth the effort. Our problem is that too many Americans have become over-reliant on government to take care of them, while ignoring the old Puritan ethic of self-reliance. Politicians have been fine with this because it contributes to their careers and power. That attitude has contributed to our $36 trillion national debt and inflation, which the administration, with the help of Elon Musk and his DOGE squad, are trying to reduce.

Economic roller coasters can be scary, but like the rides at the fair, the end produces satisfaction, relief and even a thrill. So, hang on.”
