How far left will the leadership of the Democrats go?

Apparently until there is nothing left of America. For instance, they have replaced cackling Kamala Harris, a truly ignorant individual as a party leader with Rep.-Barmaid Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC), who is possibly even zanier, if not dumber.

Maybe the Democrat leaders believe she is actually a good replacement for Democrat Senate leader Charles Schumer.

As columnist Mark Lewis says, “AOC is crazy. Listen to her sometime. That woman is totally, 100% governed by emotion; she hasn’t a rational brain cell in her head. She is probably dumber and more fanatical—if that’s possible right now—than Kamala Harris. And yet, I have seen more than one headline/ story—serious stories—that indicate she might run for the Democratic Party’s nomination for President in 2028. That isn’t impossible because the radical Left in the party continues to push farther and farther away from any kind of decent, civilized norm. Where—when will they finally stop? They will only stop when they are totally crushed or when they have destroyed the country and-or the world. Because they don’t believe there is any final moral stopping point except what they create. And if you have been paying attention, the “moral stopping point they create” keeps getting farther away from traditional civilized behavior.”

Half the People Fall For It

It is shocking to me that almost half of the American citizens who vote have fallen prey to the official Democrat line.

The Worldwide Left – and that includes the far left of the American Democrat Party – pushes a godless, anti-religion anti-American philosophy that employs the Big Lie Theory, i.e.: “Tell a big enough lie long enough (as the major media, which is totally in the pocket of the Left does) and eventually a majority of people will believe it.

While on the topic of absolute “nuts” in leftwing politics, I am including a comment from RedState about another one, Rep. Jasmine Crockett of South Dallas, Texas, RedState writes: “Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett has been trying to out-AOC NY Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and to out-Bern Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders with her zany comments and air of lunacy lately. She’s threatened DOGE chief Elon Musk—it was disturbing enough that the attorney general of the United States warned her to “tread carefully”—and in a recent interview, she said that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) needed to be ‘knocked over the head.’”

And Then Comes “Mad Max”

Also on the subject of fruitcake Leftist politicians, particularly in Washington, D.C., and a number of “Blue cities and states, we come to “Mad Max” – Rep. Maxine Waters of California.

RedState’s Mike Miller remarks: “Mad Max is at it again, gang. Bigly. “Yeah, so far-left California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters suggested during a silly diatribe in Los Angeles over the weekend that President Donald Trump should “take a look at” deporting First Lady Melania Trump, who was born in present-day Slovenia.

“My oh my, where to begin. “I’m among those who don’t consider Maxine Waters to be the most stable person on the planet. Her ridiculous outbursts, including one earlier in March during which she warned Trump is planning a “civil war” in America and that Democrats should “pray” so they don’t fight back, are legendary.

“While railing against a Trump administration proposal to end the insanity of anchor babies born in the U.S. to illegal immigrant parents becoming U.S. citizens by birthright, Waters spewed during an anti-DOGE protest: “When he [Trump] talks about birthright, and he’s going to undo the fact that the Constitution allows those who are born here, even if the parents are undocumented, they have a right to stay in America.

“If he wants to start looking so closely to find those who were born here and their parents were undocumented, maybe he ought to first look at Melania.

“We don’t know whether or not her parents were documented. And maybe we better just take a look,” she added.

Miller added: “First, whether or not Melania’s parents were documented (they were granted U.S. citizenship in 2018, according to their immigration attorney) is irrelevant; Melania became a U.S. citizen on July 28, 2006 — 12 years before her parents did. Translation: The issue of birthright citizenship is irrelevant.”

Do Kingfisher County Kids Really Own “The Big House?”

On to a more pleasant subject.

I hope you read Editor Michael Swisher’s story on Oklahoma City’s “Big House,” where state champion- ship basketball teams have played over many decades. (It’s being torn down due to age issues.)

It is understandable that such a long story was written in a small town newspaper. Our dedicated young people have made their mark on the Big House with numerous state tournament appearances – 108 over just the last 28 years.

Also, I remember Kingfi sher girls and other county teams winning state titles there before then.

It is remarkable, also, that in addition to their outstanding athleticism our county student-athletes won many scholarship titles there in addition to winning basketball games.

It may just be my bias showing, but I’m of the opinion that schools west of I-35 generally do a better job of educating students.

I had outstanding teachers more than 80 years ago and I have observed that teacher excellence continues up to now.

Our Michael Swisher is a product of Kingfisher County schools and I don’t think there’s a better writer (or harder worker) among Oklahoma’s talented and professional newspaper staffs than Michael.
