Kale Yost: Another ‘local boy makes good’ story

I visited Kale Yost, a Kingfisher High school graduate, last week when I attended the wedding of grandson Ross in North Carolina.

Kale was part of Ross’ wedding party. I couldn’t remember having seen Kale since his Kingfisher Little League baseball days, so I didn’t recognize him immediately. After I heard his name I remembered him and had a nice visit. I was happy to learn that Kale graduated from Rutgers University Law School in New Jersey and is now a practicing attorney with a firm having offices in New Jersey and New York.

Yet another typical success story of Kingfisher County young people.

Son Barry, Ross’ dad, reminded me that Kale was Ross’ companion on a kayaking adventure on the Cimarron River when they were younger. That’s also when they tried to eat beaver tail. “Never again,” they asserted.

Richards says end in sight for courthouse work

I met Steve Richards last week outside the courthouse where heavier wiring is being installed to beef up the courthouse electrical system (computers, ya know). Steve predicted the work would be completed and the traffic restriction removed by August.

More on China’s Election Meddling

I mentioned possible Chinese interference in America’s 2020 election in this space earlier.

Political Animal News provided some additional details.

FBI Director Kash Patel delivered shocking news to Congress that has sent shockwaves through Washington, D.C.

Patel delivered newly declassified intelligence documents to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) that exposed a potential Chinese operation to meddle in the 2020 election.

The intelligence documents from August 2020 suggested that China had manufactured fake U.S. driver’s licenses as part of an operation to generate fraudulent mail-in ballots for Joe Biden.

“Thanks to the oversight work and partnership of Chairman Grassley, the FBI continues to provide unprecedented transparency at the people’s Bureau,” Patel told Just the News in a statement.

Patel revealed the disturbing details of what the FBI had uncovered about Chinese interference efforts.

“Specifically, these include allegations of plans from the CCP to manufacture fake driver’s licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail-in ballots – allegations which, while substantiated, were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public,” Patel said.

Director Patel made the decision to immediately declassify the material and turn it over to Chairman Grassley for further review.

This revelation raises serious questions about what the previous FBI leadership under Christopher Wray knew and when they knew it.

Include me among the “election deniers.”

Obama’s “perfect” administration?

I get tired of hearing that Barack Obama’s presidential tenure was “corruption free.”

Besides being dishonest it was also the Genesis of America’s current division.

One thing that comes immediately to mind regarded the Obama Administration’s secretly sending $400 million in cash to Iran, now the center of another international nuclear bomb concern.

CNN reported then: “The Obama administration secretly arranged a plane delivery of $400 million in cash on the same day Iran released four American prisoners and formally implemented the nuclear deal, US officials confirmed Wednesday.

“President Barack Obama approved the $400 million transfer, which he had announced in January as part of the Iran nuclear deal. The money was flown into Iran on wooden pallets stacked with Swiss francs, euros and other currencies as the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement resolving claims at an international tribunal at The Hague over a failed arms deal under the time of the shah.”
