Yeah, it’s March!

Yeah, it’s March!

I never thought I’d be excited to do laundry, but I was as soon as it warmed up enough to use my washer and drier. Both are in my garage, and they had to be thawed out before I could do four loads of clothes.

I had no idea I owned that many jogging pants, and I washed only one pair of jeans with them. I also did a full load of socks, and couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed folding socks and towels while they were still warm from the dryer.

It was actually relaxing!

*** It’s too bad I didn’t remember having cartons of Dr. Pepper and Sprite in the back of my SUV during the freeze.

The DP was for me, and the Sprite for my middle- daughter–from-another mother, Tracy. Her pop did better than mine with only three Sprite cans almost blowing their tops. I still have six of mine in the kitchen sink waiting to be used.

Luckily, they were only 12 packs. *** Apparently all I did during our cold spell was watch TV because I just found a Do-List I’d made sometime last month. It includes two stories I still haven’t written, and of course, we have Hennessey, Dover and Okarche municipal elections coming on Tuesday, April 1.

Yes, that’s April Fool’s Day so it’ll be easy for everyone to remember to go vote, and I’ve got to get busy contacting candidates for our voter guide. *** Finally it’s March, but you know what that means: The time change is this coming Sunday!

However, I guess there are some electronic goodies that know how to make changes without us fiddling with something. Too bad my watch isn’t one of them. I always have to search for tweezers to be able to set the winding stem.

However, I am able to remember that it’s Spring Forward now, and not Fall Back until ... that’s sometime in the Fall.

I’ve always hated the time change, so if you don’t like it either, raise your hand now in support!

I must have said that out loud because Tuxedo- the-Girl-Cat just roused in her chair. Yes, her chair, not mine. I’ve found a way to keep her out of my computer chair by using something from my owl collection. It’s a cute pink stuffed owl with lots of sparkles on it. All I have to do is remember to put it in my work chair when I get up.

Hm-m-m. Wonder what I could find to keep her off my spot on the couch!
