Joriaun passed a career milestone and led the Dover boys basketball team to its fourth straight win in the process.

Caldwell scored 29 points Tuesday as the Longhorns defeated Pond Creek-Hunter 71-52 at home.

The scoring total helped Caldwell pass 1,000 points in his Dover career.

Dover, meanwhile, improved to 10-8 with the playoffs quickly approaching.

Included in the fourgame win streak was a 58-44 victory against Pond Creek-Hunter in the consolation championship of the Skeltur Conference Tournament.

The Longhorns also picked up a 43-23 victory against Canton.

In the second matchup with PC-H, both teams came out firing, but only Dover kept it going.

The Longhorns led 21-15 after a quarter as Caldwell, Darrion Turner and Kasen Harviston combined for four 3-pointers.

Caldwell added two more and Emory Norton two of his own in the second quarter as Dover

Caldwell had 20 points by halftime and the Panthers never caught up.

Turner and Norton ended their nights with 11 points apiece while Kalten Shaw scored eight.

Harvistons lead Lady Longhorns to double-digit win

The Dover girls got the night started out on a positive note as they handed Pond Creek-Hunter a 49-32 defeat.

The Lady Longhorns got six points from Katelyn Harviston and five more from Yareli Obeso as they jumped out to a 17-7 lead.

The Lady Panthers were never able to catch up as Dover extended its lead to 31-18 by halftime.

They closed the game on a 10-4 fourth-quarter run.

Harviston scored six of those points in the fourth and finished her night with 17 points.

Karlee Harviston added 11 points.

Madi Moeller and Obeso scored eight points apiece as Dover improved to 5-10.
