Cashion searches for Week 6 football foe

Cashion finds itself in need of a football opponent this week.

The Wildcats were set to travel to Hinton on Friday, Oct. 9, for a District A-3 game.

However, Hinton has been forced to cancel or postpone the game in order to quarantine due to COVID-19.

The Comets also canceled their Oct. 2 game with Stroud.

“We’ve tried, but no luck yet,” said Cashion coach Lynn Shackelford on finding an opponent this week.

“And I’ve had zero calls coming my way.”

Cashion is ranked No. 1 in Class A by Skordle and No. 2 by The Oklahoman.

The Wildcats have outscored their opponents 225- 46 or an average of 45-9 a game.

They hosted Oklahoma Christian Academy on Friday, Oct. 2, for homecoming (after press time).
