Coach, 5 players on OBCA All-District roster
The Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association’s 2025 list of District 1 allstars has a strong Kingfisher County flavor.
That starts at the top where Okarche’s Aaron West was named the Coach of the Year.
District 1 includes 74 schools in the following counties in northwest Oklahoma: Kingfisher, Logan, Garfield, Grant, Alfalfa, Major, Woods, Woodward, Harper, Beaver, Texas, Cimarron, Ellis, Dewey, Custer, Blaine and Canadian.
The schools represent Class B all the way up to Class 6A.
All grade levels - freshmen through seniors - are eligible to be named to the 14-person team.
Five are from the county. That includes two of West’s players - Jett Mueggenborg and Easton Roby.
Together, that trio led Okarche to a 32-0 record and its second straight Class A state championship.
Also earning a spot on the team were Camdyn Richardson of Hennessey, Jonah Pendergraft of Dover and Parker Mitchell of Cashion.
Mueggenborg was the repeat winner of the Class A state tournament MVP honor and has been named the Three Rivers Conference MVP for three straight seasons.
During his junior campaign, he averaged 26.2 points, 9 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 4.2 steals a contest.
Roby, Richardson and Mitchell were also named to the TRC all-conference team.

A junior, he averaged 17.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists a game.
