Lomega Raiders vs. Deer Creek-Lamont Eagles

There wasn’t any snow in Deer Creek last Friday night, but there were two Snowdens. That was awful news for host Deer Creek-Lamont as it fell prey to Lomega, 80-32, in a Cherokee Strip Conference game. Noah Snowden and Blake Snowden combined for 44 points as they outscored the entire DCLA squad. Noah had 12 in the first quarter as Lomega got out to a 20-9 lead. Blake caught fire in the second with five 3-pointers. That helped the lead grow to 30 points by halftime. The Raiders made 10 3-pointers in the game. Riley Lumpkin had two of them. He finished with 12 points. Lomega has won seven of its last eight games. The Raiders are 12-5 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

Lady Raiders win easy

Lomega continued its march through the Cherokee Strip Conference. The latest victim was host Deer Creek-Lamont, which got buried under a barrage of points early and often Friday in an 84-29 defeat. The Lady Raiders, who moved up to No. 1 in Class B this week, scored 36 first-quarter points and then added 29 in the third. DCLA had no answer either time. The wealth was widespread for Lomega. Adysen Wilson scored 13 of her 15 points in the fi rst quarter. Darcy Roberts added nine and Emma Duffy seven in the fi rst eight minutes. Duffy was also a big part of the third-quarter surge and ended her night with 15 points. Roberts and Hallie Barton scored 13 apiece. Eleven different Lomega players scored. Lomega was 15-2 after the win and had won 12 straight games.
