Girls golf season teed off Monday in Guthrie

The Kingfisher girls’ golf team opened its season Monday with a third-place finish at the Guthrie Invitational, which was played at Aqua Canyon. The Lady Jackets shot a 395, which tied them for second place with Oklahoma Christian School. OCS got second place on the scorecard playoff. Maddi Kamas led the way for KHS with a 76, good for third overall individually. Sierra Townsend, pictured, shot a 99. She was followed by Alexis Stitt (105), Olivia Wilcox (115) and Kate Brickman (126). Mooreland won the team title with a 390. [Photo by Russell Stitt/www.stitt.smugmug.com]
