Kingfisher golfers - most of them, anyway - got another dose of a 36-hole day at Wednesday’s Edmond North Invitational. KHS shot a 676 in the mostly large-school tournament held at Lincoln Park West in Oklahoma City. Peyton Burns shot a 76 in the first 18 holes, but had to withdraw from the rest of the tournament to compete elsewhere for Kingfisher FFA. Colby Campbell had the best two-round score for the Jackets as he fired off a 79 and 77 for a

156. That tied him for 36th individually. Caleb Cameron’s 165 tied him for 74th. He followed up his 85 with an 80. Logun Burnham had a 178 with matching rounds of 89. He was 102nd. Garrett States shot a 105 then a 101 for a 206, good for 110th. Oklahoma Christian School’s Jaxon Dowell won individual medalist honors with a 132. He shot a 1-under-par 70 and then a red-hot 62. OCS tied with Stillwater at 585 in the team standings. Dowell and the rest of the Saints will be in Kingfisher Monday for a Class 3A regional qualifier. Three teams (and ties for third) will go on to the regional tournament April 29 in Purcell. Joining Kingfisher and OCS will be Chisholm, Douglass, Lindsay, Perkins-Tryon, Perry and Purcell. Blackwell will send two individuals and Jones one.
