Hennessey girls knocked out, Cashion in consolation ’ bracket

Hennessey’s girls were eliminated from the playoffs with their 62-32 loss to Navajo Thursday in a regional consolation quarterfinal at Hinton.

The Lady Eagles beat Hinton 56-42 last week in the district elimination game, but fell to Fairview in the district championship.

Their season ends with an 8-17 record.

Cashion, meanwhile, was sent to the consolation bracket on Thursday.

The Lady Wildcats were sent there in a 51-41 loss to Hollis at Burns Flat-Dill City.

Cashion played Navajo in a consolation semifinal Friday afternoon (after press time). A win there would put Cashion into Saturday afternoon’s regional consolation championship.

Cashion was 16-10 after the loss.
