High school team heads west, junior high here this weekend

Kingfisher baseball returns to action Thursday in the I-40 Classic.

The Jackets are a part of Pool B, which will play its games in Clinton.

KHS takes on Clinton at 10 a.m. and Elk City at 12:15 p.m. Thursday.

On Friday, the Jackets will battle Leedey at noon and Shattuck at 2 p.m.

Saturday’s games will be played in Weatherford.

The fourth-place teams from each pool will play at 10 a.m., third-place teams at 12:30 p.m., second-place teams at 3 p.m. and the first-place teams will play for the championship at 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Kingfisher will be hosting the Interbank Junior High Classic Thursday-Saturday at Homier Field.

Kingfisher and Okarche will play the first of five games on Thursday as first pitch is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

The winner will play Clinton at 12:30 p.m.

Other first-round games pit Chisholm vs. Piedmont at 2:30 p.m., Hennessey vs. Elk City at 4:30 p.m. and Weatherford vs. Crossings Christian at 6:30 p.m.

Consolation games are at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Championship semifinal games are at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Consolation games Saturday are also at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. prior to the consolation championship at 2:30 p.m.

The third-place game is 4:30 p.m. and the championship at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
