The latest round of Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings has seen the Maddi Kamas star continue to brighten on the national scale.

The Kingfisher High School senior was tabbed 37th in the nation when the rankings were released Monday.

The rankings include 2,823 junior golfers who are at least 10 years old up to seniors in high school.

Although the rankings are updated daily, JGS has a big turnover Aug. 1 each year when the players who have graduated high school are no longer eligible.

Kamas was ranked No. 380 in the country at this time in 2019.

The comprehensive rankings are for a 365-day span that take several factors into account.

Of those factors, 65 percent of the weight is given to scoring differential. Kamas’ differential is -3.24.

Another 25 percent goes to the strength of field that took part in tournaments that qualify for the rankings and then 10 percent takes into account finishes in those tournaments.

Kamas played in nine qualifying tournaments in the last year and has three wins and five other top-five finishes.

Like last year, Kamas is the top-ranked player in Oklahoma.
