Lady Eagles knocked out in area by Bethel
Some sharp shooting by Bethel put an end to Hennessey’s 2025-26 basketball campaign.
The Lady Wildcats nailed 10 3-pointers last Thursday to down No. 11 Hennessey 55-47 in the Class 3A area consolation quarterfinals at Prague.

That helped the Lady Wildcats stake a 27-19 lead.
Hennessey clawed back into it by outscoring Bethel 14-9 in the third. Ally Painter and Clare Munroe combined for all 14 Hennessey points. But Bethel was able to hold off Hennessey in the fourth.

She made three treys in the game as did Lexi Tucker. Bailey Tucker nailed four of them. Both Tuckers scored 12 points apiece.
Munroe paced Hennessey with 17. She made 10 of 10 free throws in the game.
Painter added 14 points while Star Torres, who made half of Hennessey’s six 3-pointers, contributed 10 points.
