Scout Snodgrass brought home four medals - including two golds - to lead Kingfisher High School to a runner-up finish at the Chisholm High School Track & Field Meet.

The junior won the 800 meter run on Friday and was also a part of the gold medal-winning 3,200 meter relay team.

Snodgrass was also the runner-up in the 400 meter dash and on the 1,600 relay team that placed third.

All told, KHS scored 109 points.

Chisholm won the team title with 135.

There were 13 teams that scored points in the meet.

Snodgrass was one of three individuals to win gold for Kingfisher.

The other two were a sweep of the hurdles events.

Senior Talor Mecklenburg won the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.70 seconds, which was .05 second faster than her previous PR set while medaling at last year’s Class 4A state meet.

Reese Roof claimed the 300 hurdles gold with a time of 49.42. Teammate Abbie Myers was third in the event with a time of 50.14 seconds.

Snodgrass edged Chisholm’s Addison Pecha in the 800.

The former ran it in 2:22.04 while Pecha crossed the line in 2:22.77.

In the 400, it was Alva’s Lakin Gaddy beating Snodgrass almost literally by a nose.

Gaddy, last year’s Class 3A state runner-up in the event, won the race in 58.72.

Snodgrass finished in 58.94.

Gaddy’s time was more than a half-second faster than her state time last season while Snodgrass’ time was just .22 second behind what she ran in placing fourth in the event at state a year ago.

She was joined in the 3,200 relay by Harper Evans, Addison Price and Mattie Slezickey.

The quartet won the race in 10:05.17, more than five seconds faster than runner- up Chisholm. It’s also Kingfisher’s fastest time in the event this season by 24 seconds.

The mile relay team was Roof, Myers and Mecklenburg with Snodgrass.

Their time of 4:10.33 placed them about 1.5 seconds behind Casady and .22 second behind Chisholm.

KHS also picked up points in the 400 relay as Taitym Walker, Rylee Long-Bush, Roof and Myers were fourth in 55.30 seconds.

Ela Hartman took second in the high jump as she cleared 5 feet. Long-Bush was fourth with a leap of 4-8.

Also scoring points for KHS were Price in the mile run as she placed fourth, Evans in the two-mile run with her fourth-place finish and Myers in the long jump as she was sixth.

Hennessey Athletes Earn Medals

Hennessey’s girls placed ninth with 19 team points.

Emma Copeland was the runner-up in the two-mile run with a time of 12:26.40.

Teammate Jocelyn Matousek was three spots behind her. Matousek was also sixth in the mile run.

The two-mile relay team of Matousek, Copeland, Camila Rios and Tayler Franklin placed fourth with a time of 11:11.10.

The HHS boys were in eighth place with their 27 team points.

Jessin Hardin had a hand (or legs) in nearly all of them.

Hardin was sixth in the 100 meter dash and was part of the 800 relay team that was third and 400 relay team that took fourth.

The two relays also consisted of Kasey Adams, Mario Lopez and Camdyn Richardson.

That trio was joined by Kevin Trillo to place sixth in the mile relay.

Adams, Luis Macias- Montoya, Asher Ward and Seth Sims were fifth in the two-mile relay.
