Lady Jackets 2nd at Heritage Hall

Kingfisher was runner- up Thursday morning in the girls team standings of the Heritage Hall Cross Country Meet.

The Lady Jackets scored 55 points, second only to host Heritage Hall’ 29.

Casady was third with 77, Oklahoma Christian School fourth with 100 and Bridge Creek fifth with 133.

Bridge Creek entered the meet ranked third in Class 4A, one spot ahead of Kingfisher.

Heritage Hall is fourth in 3A and OCS is fifth. Casady was ranked eighth in 4A.

Addison Price led Kingfi sher’s charge as the junior took fourth out of 132 runners.

She completed the 3,200 meter course in 12:51.

Right on her heels in fifth place was senior teammate Harper Evans, who was fifth.

Mattie Slezickey was the next Lady Jacket to finish the course, which saw the last 300 meters run on the school’s track.

Slezickey was 12th overall and 11th among scorers with a time of 13:18.

Scout Snodgrass and Hinsley Brodrick rounded out Kingfisher’s scoring.

Snodgrass was 18th (17th) in 13:32, one place and one second ahead of the freshman Brodrick.

Lily Lunsford was 21st (20th) in 13:38 and Ryan Farrar 31st (29th) in 13:51 to round out Kingfisher’s top-seven.

Cashion’s Lyla Sloan was 34th overall. She finished in 14:01.

Chance Dunn was the top finisher for the KHS boys.

The sophomore placed 85th out of 173.

He completed the 5,000 meter course in 21:06.

Kurttis Mark was 90th in 21:21.
