LADY LONGHORNS WIN DISTRICT

Dover’s slowpitch softball team traveled to Mason on Wednesday for a Class B district tournament and came home with the championship plaque. Dover opened the district with a 17-1 victory over Cimarron. The Lady Longhorns followed that up with wins of 8-2 and 2-0 over host Mason, which was ranked No. 15 in the class. The wins advance Dover to this week’s regional. The tournament information will be released this week. [Photo provided]
