It’s nothing new for Lomega coach Kevin Lewallen to give playing time to any number of Lady Raiders throughout the game.

In last Saturday’s Class B regional opener against Coyle, however, Lomega gave minutes to 10 players in the first quarter.

It wasn’t because he was rotating them in and out... but because he was unhappy with the initial play of his first unit.

The message was received and the usual onslaught ensued as part of a 91-36 victory in Agra.

The win advanced Lomega to Tuesday night’s regional championship (after press time) against Webbers

The winner of that game will be in Friday night’s area final in Stroud and be just one win short of the state tournament. The loser will be sent to the area consolation bracket and need three wins to advance.

When Lewallen made his mass substitution against Coyle, Abby Swart answered with a pair of buckets and Allie Roberts a 3-pointer.

Once the starters returned and finished the quarter, the top-ranked Lady Raiders had a 30-7 lead.

Emma Duffy scored all eight of her points in the frame while Hensley Eaton added seven more.

The second quarter was much of the same as the latter part of the first as Lomega went on a 29-7 run to lead 59-14 at halftime.

Darcy Roberts scored five points in the quarter and eventually led the team with 18 points.

Eaton ended her night with 17.

Swart added 14 points and Adysen Wilson 12.

Lomega improved to 22-0.
