Lomega girls are 4th as team; Myers, Fisher regional champs

Lomega made the trip all the way to McAlester for its Class A regional.

The Lady Raiders were able to tally 60 points to place fourth as a team.

Claire Myers and Kinsley Fisher came back as regional champions.

Fisher got hers in the discus with a throw of 110 feet, 6 inches.

She was also third - and a state qualifier - in the shot put with a toss of 35 feet, 7 inches.

Myers earned her regional title in the 3,200 meter run as she crossed the finish line in 13:19.34.

It was one of four events in which she qualifi ed for state.

Myers was fourth in the mile run, but her time of 6:05.59 made her a state qualifier.

She was a part of the mile relay team - along with sister Kate Myers, Isabel Hansen and Josey Nusz - that placed fourth and qualified with the time of 4:34.57.

The two-mile relay team of the Myers sisters, Hansen and Joann Bilger was fifth in 11:17.51, which was fast enough to qualify for state.

Nusz also punched her ticket in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. She was fourth in both, but her times were fast enough to get her in.

Kate Myers was also a four-event qualifier.

The senior got there in the two relays, but also in the 400 meter dash and 800 meter run.

She was third in the 400 in 1:03.16, giving her an automatic bid. Her time of 2:28.66 was good for fourth in the 800, which also landed her at state.

Hunter Russell was a state qualifier for the Lomega boys. He ran the 3,200 in 10:46.54, which was good for fifth, but also fast enough to qualify.
