Okarche teams get TRC sweep at Crescent
Okarche squeaked by Crescent by two points in the semifi nals last weekend en route to the Coyle Tournament championship.
The return date just four days later wasn’t nearly as competitive.
The Lady Warriors methodically outscored Crescent in every quarter last Tuesday to earn a 58-32 road win.
It was a balanced attack for Okarche as 10 different players scored, though only one reached double figures.
But six of the Lady Warriors scored six or more points.
Already up 28-14 at the half, Okarche outscored Crescent 17-7 in the third quarter.
The quarter matched much of the rest of the game in that five different Lady Warriors scored.
Katie Parham led the team with 10 points.
Callie Cramer and Logan White scored nine apiece while Scout Payne scored eight.
Harper White and Katy Creswell both scored six as Okarche improved to 14-7 overall and 2-3 in Three Rivers Conference games.
Warriors swarm early
Crescent got to feel the wrath of Okarche’s relentless attack.
The matchup went the way of all others for the Warriors this season as they stayed unbeaten with a 99-68 road win.
The game wasn’t even as close as the final score suggested.
After Crescent managed to stay within 10 points in the first quarter, the Tigers were overwhelmed by a 37-9 Warrior run in the second.
That saw Okarche push its lead to 68-30.
Coach Aaron West let off the gas for much of the second half.
Still, four Warriors scored in double figures.
Easton Roby led the way with 21 points while also grabbing six boards.
Jett Mueggenborg added 18 points and nine rebounds.
Hunter Mueggenborg chipped in 16 points and 10 assists while Colin Hendrickson scored 11.
Chezdon South paced the Tigers with 28 points.
Okarche is now 21-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
