Okarche wins Turkey Creek
Dover’s Wood 2nd; 3 Warriors in top 10
Okarche was the team champ at last Friday’s Turkey Creek Invitational golf tournament in Hennessey.
The Warriors shot a 329 to best Crescent by 16 strokes.
Hennessey placed third with a 347.
Three different Warriors were among the top 10 individuals.
Asher Schieber led the way with his 9-over-par 79, which placed him fourth.
Hudson Mueggenborg shot an 82, good for eighth, while Hunter Mueggenborg was 10th with an 83.
Carter Robinson shot an 85 and Lane Rother an 88 for Okarche.
Kevin Trillo and Daren Lara shot 83s to tie for 10th and pace Hennessey’s score.
The Eagles also got an 88 from Justin Tovar, a 93 from Jameson Ladwig and a 99 from Brayson Brinson.
The top individual finish in the county belonged to Dover’s Sam Wood.
His 75 earned him runner- up.
Parker Roberts of Watonga won the individual title with a 73.
Cooper House of Watonga was third with a 77.
There were 69 individuals in the tournament.
Cashion was sixth as a team with its 379.
Drake Woody’s 82 placed him eighth individually.
Cashion also saw Gavin Layton shoot 90, Asher Howell a 99 and Connor Poe a 108.
Okarche’s JV squad placed seventh with a 380.
Henry McIlvain led that group with an 84.
Christian Meyer shot 97, Quinn Schneiter a 98, Holden Schieber a 101 and Parker Schieber a 117.
Hennessey JV was 12th with a 465.
Kaden Kennedy carded a 101 to lead the team.
Mason McGee shot 119, Fernando Armenta a 121, Stryker Keeton a 124 and Vandin Vadder a 127.
