Richardson to play for Rangers

Camdyn Richardson has been soaring with the Eagles.

Now he’ll ride with the Rangers.

The Hennessey High School senior on Wednesday signed to continue his basketball career with Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva.

Richardson made it official during a ceremony held in front of family, friends, classmates, teammates and coaches at the Eagle Event Center.

Richardson spent the last two seasons at Hennessey, highlighted by a trip to the Class 2A semifinals in 2024.

His senior season saw him average 25 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals a game.

That included a school record 56 points on Jan. 23 during a 99-69 win against Woodland in the Yale Tournament.

Richardson shot 54 percent from two-point range, 41 percent from 3-point range and 83 percent from the free throw line during the season.

For his career, Richardson produced 1,701 points.
