Missed chances meant missed shots.

And that meant the end of the road for the Cashion Lady Wildcats.

Minco used a big second half Thursday to surge past Cashion and take home a 46-37 victory from their Class 2A area consolation quarterfinal in Chickasha.

“We had our chances, but couldn’t make the easy shots when we had them and needed them,” said Andrea Taylor after her team’s season ended with a 17-8 mark.

Cashion led 21-19 at halftime, but Minco found its offensive rhythm in the second half while Cashion sputtered.

The Lady Bulldogs outscored Cashion 14-9 to take the lead into the fourth quarter then continued to extend it.

The trio of Emily Martinez, Natalie Carhello and Dallas Brothers sparked the comeback.

They combined to score all but one of Minco’s 27 second-half points.

Martinez led all scorers with 20. Carhello scored nine of her 11 in the second half.

Cashion was led by Brook Shelly’s 17 points.

She had the team’s only fourth-quarter field goal.

Neeley Tilley-Bedick and Lauren Lamb scored seven points apiece for Cashion.
