Early voting begins this Thursday, Nov. 13, for the halfcent sales tax extension proposed by Kingfisher County.

The sales tax funds a number of county services and has been in place since 1991.

If approved, it will extend it for another five years. Election day for that sales tax is Tuesday, Nov. 18. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on election day have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

Kingfisher County Election Board Secretary Shawna Butts said early voting is open to all voters in Kingfisher County.

Early voting is available Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kingfi sher County Fairgrounds MACenter located at 300 S. 13th St.

Butts reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.
