Time to circle the wagons
A day filled with cowboy fun and family- friendly activities is just around the corner.
Hosting the largest Chuck Wagon Gathering in the state, The Chisholm will feature 12 working chuck wagons from across the region where visitors can watch cooking demonstrations and enjoy a variety of food samples throughout the day.
The event, which will be held Saturday, March 29, will also include live music, gunfi ghts, Wild West Show performers and more.
Additional entertainment this year will also include rope making and stick horse crafts for the kids.
Activities begin at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day until 2 p.m.
Admission is free, thanks in part to local sponsors.
“Visitors of all ages will find food and activities that they enjoy,” said Jason Harris, executive director at the museum. “Whether they are sampling one of the many dishes prepared on-site by our chuck wagon crews, sitting back and enjoying the live music, watching a gunfight or participating in one of our new kids’ activities, this event is for everyone.”
A partial schedule of events include:
• 10:15 a.m. - Cowboy Jim Garling and Susanne Woolley on stage
• 11:00 a.m. - Gunfight at the Mansion
• 11:30 a.m. - Medicine Man Show at the Mansion
