Crash claims life of Hennessey man

Troopers are still investigating the cause of a crash Wednesday that killed a Hennessey man in far northwest Kingfisher County.

Eduardo Dominguez Cervantes, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by medical personnel, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The report stated Cervantes crashed a 2010 Ram pickup- truck about onethird mile north of County Road E590 on CR2730. The location is about 13 miles west of Hennessey on State Highway 51 and 3 1/3 north.

The report says Cervantes was southbound on N2730, left the roadway to the left, re-entered the road and then left it to the right.

His pickup struck several small trees, continued southbound in the ditch and then struck a larger tree.

According to the report, the time of the crash was unknown.

The cause of the crash and condition of Cervantes were still under investigation, according to the report, which also said he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash was investigated by Trooper Jeff Jech. Also on the scene were the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office, Hennessey Fire Department and Life EMS.

Personnel from the Office of the Medical Examiner transported Cervantes to its facility in Oklahoma City.
