DENIM FOR A CAUSE

By

If you walk into Interbank on a Wednesday, you’ll find most employees wearing jeans and a company t-shirt. It’s for good reason…and a good cause. Employees pay $2 each week for the right to wear those jeans and then at the end of the year, that money benefits a local group. Over the last 10 years, the money collected has been donated to the likes of nursing home residents or helping provide for children on an “Angel Tree.” This year Interbank employees chose to use the money – which averages about $1,200 every year - to purchase toys to donate to Santa’s Toyland. Seated among the toys purchased for local youth are Yaz Gamez and Beau Grider. Standing are, from left, Josh Lippoldt, Kelly Kastner, Stephanie Grider, Cassidi Cowdery, Crystal Hill, Gina Tarango, Noemi Ruvalcaba and Emily Rogers. [Photo provided]
