DOVER
So far this year, the Dover FFA Chapter was selected as part of the yearly Oklahoma Goodwill tour for the first time in five years.
Current state officers Kayla Poling, Garret Case, Trey Myers and Caleb Horne visited our school to talk to our chapter about the little things in life that have a big influence.
We also had 15 chapter members who attended the NOC Interscholastic Contest in Tonkawa.
After the lengthy road trip, we returned with two first-place banners in agronomy and meats.
Chapter officers were also fortunate enough to be invited to the KOFM radio station in Enid to record an interview that will be aired during National FFA Week.
The Dover FFA Chapter has recently been preparing for the busy spring.
Ag mechanics students have been putting the finishing touches on their projects to auction off at our annual labor auction (held Feb. 12), speeches are being memorized, members are preparing their livestock for shows.
Students will exhibit their animals at the Kingfi sher County Show (held this week) and then at the Northwest District Show in Enid and will wrap up their show season at Oklahoma Youth Expo March 12-22.
